We can provide teletherapy to individuals located in DC, Maryland, and Virginia, as well as 36 additional states.
International Services
Whether you are an expat, digital nomad, third culture kid, or a frequent traveler, therapy can be a space to discuss any number of concerns that relate to being outside of your home country.
Schedule a consultation call to figure out whether your state or country permits online counseling with a provider that lives outside of your area.

We are currently out-of-network and do not take insurance. Working as an out-of-network provider allows for an increased level of confidentiality and scope of treatment. However, depending on your current health insurance provider, you may be able to be reimbursed in part or in full. After each session, we can provide you with a detailed receipt with all of the information needed to submit a claim to your insurance.
You can contact your insurance company directly to inquire about reimbursement options. Below is a list of questions to ask your insurance company:
—Do I have out-of-network benefits for psychotherapy?
*The CPT code for a typical individual psychotherapy session is 90834.95. The code for a typical couples psychotherapy session is 90847.95 (the .95 modifier is added for telehealth services.)
—Is prior authorization required?
—Do I have an out-of-network deductible and how much of the deductible have I met so far?
—How much is the insurance company’s “usual and customary fee” for out-of-network therapy and what percentage do they cover?
—Is there a limit to the number of sessions they cover?

Meeting a therapist for a virtual session works very similarly to Zoom or Facetime. We use a platform called SimplePractice. SimplePractice has an app you can download or you can access the platform through a web browser. Telehealth by SimplePractice is HIPAA compliant and provides end-to-end encryption to ensure that our sessions are secure, private, and confidential.
Studies have shown that teletherapy is just as effective as in-person therapy, and people report high levels of satisfaction with therapists and the outcomes of therapy. Teletherapy can also provide more flexibility around scheduling, as you can access services from the comfort of your own home.

Since scheduling an appointment involves reserving a time specifically for each client, a minimum of 24 hours (1 day) notice is required for rescheduling or cancelling an appointment. The full session fee will be charged for sessions missed without such notification.
